Werner Blaser was a publicist, architect, and furniture designer, influenced by encounters with Alvar Aalto, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, and classical Chinese and Japanese architecture. His publications document architecture, furniture design, and culture with outstanding photographs. His buildings and furniture designs are an expression of recognition and engagement with the work of Mies van der Rohe. The originals of Werner Blaser's chairs and stools are part of the Löffler Collection.
From 2011 to 2018, Werner Blaser collaborated with Löffler GmbH, Reichenschwand. In this cooperation, contemporary reinterpretations of Werner Blaser's furniture designs, publications, a documentary film about the work of Mies van der Rohe and Werner Blaser, as well as a traveling exhibition titled "Finding Meaning in the Legacy of Mies van der Rohe – The Work of Werner Blaser – Löffler Edition," were created.
