A Tribute to Artistry

Immerse yourself in the realm of artistry with the Blaues Quadrat rug, a tribute to luminaries like Mondrian and Rothko. Crafted under the guidance of acclaimed textile artist Margret Schriefers-Imhof, whose influence spans back to the 1950s and whose works now grace the esteemed Kolumba Museum in Cologne.

Drawing inspiration from artists who delved into the potency of color blocks, Schriefers-Imhof's design for Löffler pays homage to these creative trailblazers. Within the understated allure of a blue square lies a vibrant spectrum, spanning from verdant greens to sunny yellows, rich browns, and deep violets. Yet, the true brilliance lies in the intricacies: a departure from rigid lines creates soft transitions between color fields, infusing the rug with a dynamic, organic allure.

A sensory delight and a definitive focal point in any space, captivating the gaze with its timeless sophistication and enduring allure.

Designer

Margret Schriefers-Imhof

"No compromises on quality" - this was the principle of the artist born in Wuppertal in 1928, who, since the 1950s, crafted fabrics for renowned manufacturers and delved into technical innovations. Experimenting with new yarns and metal threads on her own looms, she created designs that graced trade journals and prestigious collections. The Kolumba Museum in Cologne also acquired original designs and fabric patterns, enriching its collection. Fabrics and carpets by Margret Schriefers-Imhof were showcased at exhibitions and trade fairs, including the 2012 "Color Dreams" special exhibit at the International Furniture Fair in Cologne. Just before her passing in October 2014, she contributed a series of carpet designs for Löffler, a legacy we proudly continue.
